Genius Tools Two-Jaw Gear Pullers
Genius Tools Two-Jaw Gear Pullers remove press-fit parts the controlled way. The jaws hook behind a gear, pulley, bearing or wheel hub, and turning the center forcing screw against the shaft end draws the part straight off.
This puller is made of Chrome Vanadium Steel, the material printed for the series in the catalog, so the jaws, yoke and screw stand up to the high forces involved in pulling seized components.
Seven sizes are offered: 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10 and 12 inch. Capacity grows with size, with printed jaw spreads (A1 and A2) from 40 to 75mm on the 3 inch puller up to 120 to 300mm on the 12 inch, and maximum ratings of 2, 4, 5, 6, 10, 12 and 15 tons respectively.
Choose the two-jaw style when space is tight or when the part only offers two good gripping points. Pick a size whose spread comfortably covers the part diameter and whose reach clears its depth, and you will get a straight, even pull.
