Torque Multipliers
- Torque multiplier gears up the force from your torque wrench or breaker bar to loosen or tighten very high-torque fasteners.
- Ratios of 3:1 and 10:1, with output capacities from 1500 Nm up to 4000 Nm depending on the model.
- Input drives of 1/2 or 3/4 inch, with outputs of 3/4, 1 or 1-1/2 inch square drive.
- Model 494008B includes the 494000 multiplier plus a 1-1/2 inch F x 1 inch M impact adapter with steel ball.
- Hand-operated tool only: the catalog cautions not to use these multipliers with an impact wrench.

Genius Tools Torque Multipliers
Genius Tools Torque Multipliers let one person reach torque values that would otherwise need a very long bar or several helpers. You apply a modest input with a torque wrench or ratchet, and the gearbox multiplies it at the output drive while a reaction arm holds the tool against a solid point.
Five models are listed. The 401000 (1/2 inch in, 3/4 inch out) and 602000 (3/4 inch in, 1 inch out) use a 3:1 ratio, delivering up to 1500 Nm and 3000 Nm respectively. The compact 401500 uses a 10:1 ratio, turning 150 Nm of input into up to 1500 Nm at its 3/4 inch output.
For the heaviest work, the 494000 takes a 1/2 inch input and delivers up to 4000 Nm at a 1-1/2 inch output, with a 260mm reaction arm. The 494008B kit adds a 1-1/2 inch F x 1 inch M impact adapter so the same unit can drive 1 inch sockets.
These are typical tools for truck wheel nuts, heavy equipment and industrial bolting. Turn them by hand only; the catalog warns against use with an impact wrench.
