Genius Tools Tamperproof Star Screwdriver Bits (160mm - 225mm)
Tamperproof star screws have a small pin in the middle of the star recess, so an ordinary star bit will not seat. These Genius Tools bits are bored through the tip to slip over that pin and engage all six lobes of the fastener.
The series runs from T-7 to T-70 in 32 versions. Every size from T-7 to T-70 comes in 160mm and 200mm lengths, and T-40 and T-45 are also offered at 225mm. That long reach gets the bit down into recessed housings, through access holes and past covers that a short insert bit cannot clear.
Small and mid sizes up to T-40 use a 1/4 inch hex shank, T-45 and T-50 step up to 5/16 inch, and T-55, T-60 and T-70 use 10mm, 12mm and 14mm hex shanks for larger holders and higher loads.
Each bit is made of High Speed Tool Steel. Pick the tip size and length your security fastener calls for and keep a long bit on hand for appliance, vehicle and equipment service.
