Genius Tools Tamperproof Star Bit Sockets 3/8" Dr.
Security star screws have a pin in the middle of the six-lobe recess. Genius Tools Tamperproof Star Bit Sockets have a matching center hole, and the 3/8" square drive gives the strength needed for the larger sizes found on vehicles, machinery and public equipment.
The series offers ten sizes, T-10, T-15, T-20, T-25, T-27, T-30, T-40, T-45, T-50 and T-55. Every size is available in 50mm, 110mm, 140mm, 180mm and 220mm overall lengths, so you can handle both surface fasteners and ones sunk deep in a panel.
Each socket is made of High Speed Tool Steel. The bored center leaves thinner walls around the lobes, and a hard steel helps the tip resist cracking and wear when you apply ratchet torque to stubborn security screws.
Because these sockets also work on standard star screws of the same size, they let you carry one range that covers both types. This is a good fit for fleet service, equipment rental shops and maintenance departments.
