Genius Tools Star Bit Sockets 1/4" Dr.
Genius Tools Star Bit Sockets fit a star-shaped bit to a 1/4" square drive, letting you drive six-lobe T-size fasteners with a ratchet, extension or torque tool. Star fasteners are widely used because the lobed recess transmits torque well without the bit slipping out.
This series covers eleven sizes: T-6, T-7, T-8, T-9, T-10, T-15, T-20, T-25, T-27, T-30 and T-40. Each one is available in 45mm, 70mm, 100mm and 140mm overall lengths. Short sockets work in cramped interiors, while the long versions reach star screws on lamps, seat mounts and recessed covers.
All sockets are made of High Speed Tool Steel. The hard steel helps the small lobes on sizes like T-6 and T-8 hold their shape, so the socket keeps a snug fit in the screw and reduces stripped heads.
