Genius Tools Side Cutter Pliers
Genius Tools Side Cutter Pliers are the go-to tool for electrical and general workshop jobs. The flat gripping jaws hold, bend and twist wire, and the side cutting edge near the pivot cuts it, so one tool takes you from stripping to splicing to trimming.
Eight versions are offered across three handle styles. The double color soft handle and red dipped handle versions come in 150mm (6 inch), 175mm (7 inch) and 215mm (8-1/2 inch). The black handle versions come in 175mm (7 inch) and 200mm (8 inch).
Shorter pliers are easier to control in panels and junction boxes, while the 8 and 8-1/2 inch pliers provide more leverage for heavier wire and tougher cutting.
Choose the soft handle for a cushioned grip during long installs, the black handle for a straightforward everyday tool, or the red dipped handle for a coated grip that is easy to spot. Many electricians keep a 7 inch in the pouch and a larger pair in the truck.
