Genius Tools SAE Hex Bit Sockets 1/4" Dr.

The Genius Tools SAE Hex Bit Sockets combine an inch-size hex tip with a 1/4" square drive. They are made for internal hex screws measured in fractions of an inch, common on American machinery, tools, firearms accessories and furniture hardware.

The series includes nine sizes: 1/16", 5/64", 3/32", 7/64", 1/8", 5/32", 3/16", 7/32" and 1/4". Each is offered in four overall lengths, 45mm, 70mm, 100mm and 140mm, so you can keep a compact socket for tight areas and a long one for screws set deep inside a part.

These bit sockets are made of High Speed Tool Steel, a hard steel that helps the very small sizes keep their shape. A correct-fitting SAE tip avoids the slop of using a near-metric key, reducing the chance of rounding a screw head.

If your shop works on both inch and metric equipment, keeping this SAE series next to its metric counterpart makes it easy to grab the right fit. The small 1/4" drive is ideal for light assembly work where a big ratchet would be clumsy.
