Genius Tools SAE Hex Bit Sockets 1/2" Dr. (55mm - 80mm)

These Genius Tools SAE Hex Bit Sockets are the short members of the 1/2" drive inch-size range. A compact body keeps the ratchet or torque wrench close to the fastener, giving good control and fitting where space above the screw is limited.

In the 55mm length the series offers 3/16", 7/32", 1/4", 9/32", 5/16", 3/8", 7/16" and 1/2". The 80mm length extends from 5/32" to 3/4", adding 9/16", 5/8", 11/16" and 3/4" for heavier work. The 110mm, 150mm, 190mm and 230mm lengths are on the next catalog page.

Every socket is made of High Speed Tool Steel. A correct SAE fit and a hard tip let you apply the torque of a 1/2" drive to stubborn cap screws with less risk of rounding them.

These short bit sockets are a good starting point for a 1/2" drive SAE hex collection. Add the longer lengths later for fasteners in deep openings, and pair the series with the metric range if you work on mixed equipment.
