Genius Tools SAE Deep Hand Sockets 1/4" Dr.
Genius Tools SAE Deep Hand Sockets with a 1/4 inch drive reach small inch-sized nuts that sit on long bolts or down inside a recess. They are a useful partner to standard-length sockets for automotive, small engine, HVAC and appliance work.
Ten sizes are offered from 3/16 inch to 9/16 inch. The series includes 7/32, 9/32 and 11/32 inch alongside the common 1/4, 5/16, 3/8, 7/16 and 1/2 inch sizes.
Each socket is 50mm long, twice the length of the standard 1/4 inch drive sockets, so it can slide over a protruding thread before it grips the nut. The 6-point opening bears on the flats of the fastener to spread the load.
The sockets are made of Chrome Vanadium Steel, a durable alloy widely used for hand tools. Use them with any 1/4 inch drive ratchet, spinner or extension. Because the sizes match the standard 1/4 inch SAE series, you can keep a shallow and a deep socket for every fastener you work on.
