Genius Tools SAE Budd Wheel Sockets 3/4" Dr.
Genius Tools SAE Budd Wheel Sockets are specialist sockets for commercial wheel service. On Budd-style wheels, the inner fasteners have a square head, and only a socket with a matching square opening will turn them properly with an impact wrench.
This SAE series offers three square sizes: 11/16 inch, 3/4 inch and 13/16 inch. Each socket is 90mm long, giving the reach needed on dual-wheel assemblies, and has a 3/4 inch square drive for heavy-duty impact wrenches. A metric version in 17mm to 21mm is also available.
The sockets are made of Chrome Molybdenum steel for impact work. The 13/16 inch size is also included in the Genius Tools TR-611MS truck wheel impact socket set, a sign of how often it is needed in truck shops.
Keep the right square size on hand for the trucks you service, and the inner wheel fasteners can be handled with the same heavy impact wrench used for the rest of the wheel. Choose the size with the selector on this page.
