Genius Tools Piston Ring Pliers
Piston rings are brittle and easy to distort when they are removed or installed by hand. Genius Tools Piston Ring Pliers grip the ring ends and open the ring just enough to clear the piston, so it comes off or goes on evenly without twisting, scratching the piston or breaking.
The series includes three sizes. The 210mm pliers handle rings from 50 to 100mm, the 225mm pliers cover 80 to 120mm, and the 255mm pliers take rings from 110 to 160mm. The overlapping ranges mean you can choose one pair for the engines you see most, or keep all three to cover small engines through larger automotive pistons.
Use them during teardown to remove old rings for inspection and groove cleaning, then again during assembly to install new rings correctly. Pair them with a ring compressor to complete the piston service job.
