Some cross-head screws, such as those holding brake discs or heavy panels, seize so firmly that a hand screwdriver just slips. Genius Tools Philips Bit Sockets on a 1/2" square drive give you the leverage of a full-size ratchet or breaker bar.
The series includes the #2, #3 and #4 sizes. Each is available in six overall lengths: 55mm, 80mm, 110mm, 150mm, 190mm and 230mm. That range lets you keep the tool short for direct access or reach screws inside wheels, frames and housings.
Each socket is made of High Speed Tool Steel. Holding firm pressure into the screw while you turn, combined with a hard, sharp tip, helps the bit stay seated in the cross recess and protects the screw head from damage.
For extra stubborn screws, pressing firmly while turning with a breaker bar is often enough to break them loose without stripping the head. Keep a few long sizes for screws located inside wheels and deep housings.
