Genius Tools Oval Bearing Punches

Genius Tools Oval Bearing Punches are long drift punches with an oval cross-section, used to tap bearings, bearing races and bushings out of or into their bores. The oval shape gives a broad contact face while staying slim enough to pass through narrow openings.

These punches are made of High Speed Tool Steel, as printed in the catalog, so they resist mushrooming and wear when struck repeatedly with a hammer.

Four sizes are offered, each getting longer as the section grows: 11 x 6mm at 150mm long, 13 x 7mm at 250mm, 15 x 8mm at 350mm and 17 x 9mm at 500mm. The longer punches reach through axle housings, hubs and gearboxes to bearings set deep inside.

Work around the bearing in small steps to keep it square in the bore. The full range is also available as the PC-BP4 4 piece set, a handy kit for automotive, agricultural and industrial repair shops.
