Genius Tools Offset Tip Aviation Snips
Genius Tools Offset Tip Aviation Snips are designed for long cuts in sheet metal where a straight-handled snip would drag your knuckles across the sheet. The offset head keeps your hand up and clear, so you can continue a cut across a full panel comfortably.
Two versions are offered. The offset left cut snip (511004L) cuts straight and tight left curves, and the offset right cut snip (511005R) cuts straight and tight right curves. Both are 250mm (10 inch) long.
The catalog lists forged Chrome Molybdenum Steel blades with serrated edges that stop the material from slipping. The blades are hardened to HRC 58 to 60, and the cutting edges are induction hardened to HRC 60 to 62. Rated capacity is up to 1.2mm of cold rolled steel or 0.7mm of stainless.
Use them for ductwork, roofing panels, gutters, flashing and enclosure fabrication. Buying the left and right pair together lets you follow any curve without turning the workpiece.
