Genius Tools Metric Wobble Hex Bit Sockets 1/2" Dr.
These Genius Tools Metric Wobble Hex Bit Sockets combine a wobble hex tip with the strength of a 1/2" square drive. They are useful on vehicles, trucks and machinery where a hex cap screw sits behind brackets or close to a wall.
The series covers 5mm, 6mm, 7mm, 8mm, 9mm and 10mm in 80mm, 110mm, 150mm and 190mm overall lengths. The 6mm to 10mm sizes are also offered at 230mm, giving 29 choices. Longer sockets combined with the angled tip help you get at screws that a straight tool cannot.
Each socket is made of High Speed Tool Steel. Wobble engagement loads the tip edges more than straight use, so a hard steel helps the sockets keep a secure fit through repeated use with a heavy ratchet.
A good working method is to use the wobble socket to loosen or run in the screw at an angle, then finish with a straight hex bit socket. This gets around obstacles while still letting you apply full final torque.
