The Genius Tools Metric Thin Wall Impact Socket (12-Point) is designed for fasteners that are both hard to reach and awkward to line up. The thin outside wall lets the socket enter narrow recesses, while the 12 point opening slips onto the nut in more positions, which saves time when you cannot see the fastener clearly.
A 12 point socket also fits 12 point fasteners, such as some flange bolts and axle nuts, as well as ordinary hex nuts. The series covers 34 sizes, every millimetre from 8mm to 41mm, with lengths from 38mm to 55mm.
These sockets are made of Chrome Molybdenum steel and have a 1/2 inch square drive, so they work with standard impact wrenches and accessories. Choose them when clearance is tight and quick engagement matters more than the maximum grip of a 6 point socket.
