A thin wall impact socket solves a familiar problem: the nut is the right size, but the socket is too fat to fit into the pocket around it. Genius Tools Metric Thin Wall Impact Sockets in 1/2 inch drive have a reduced outside diameter, which helps them slip into alloy wheel lug holes, close-set flanges and crowded engine areas.
The series covers 8mm to 41mm in single millimetre steps, giving 34 sizes in total. Lengths are kept short, from 38mm to 55mm, so the impact wrench stays close to the work for better control.
Each socket has a 6 point opening that grips the flats of the nut and is made of Chrome Molybdenum steel. The 1/2 inch square drive fits standard impact wrenches and accessories, making these sockets an easy way to add tight-clearance capability to an existing tool kit.
