The series offers thirty-seven metric sizes from 60mm to 235mm. After 60mm, 63mm and 65mm the sizes rise in 5mm steps, so maintenance teams can buy the specific sizes their equipment uses instead of an entire set.
Lengths increase with size, from 125mm to 260mm, giving each socket enough depth to pass over the end of a long stud. The 6-point profile spreads the turning force across the flats of the nut, the best way to break loose a large fastener without damaging its corners.
All sockets are made of Chrome Molybdenum Steel, the alloy typically used for impact tooling because it handles repeated shock. Add a 2-1/2 inch drive impact extension bar when the nut sits behind a hub or housing.
