  • Eleven sizes from 5mm to 14mm, including the 5.5mm half size used on small hardware.
  • 12-point opening engages the fastener at twice as many positions as a 6-point socket, so it fits on with less turning.

Genius Tools Metric Hand Sockets (12-Point) 1/4" Dr.

Genius Tools Metric Hand Sockets (12-Point) with a 1/4 inch drive are made for small metric fasteners where access is awkward. Because a 12-point opening can engage a hex head in twelve positions, the socket drops onto the fastener with very little rotation, which helps when the ratchet has little room to move.

The series covers eleven sizes from 5mm to 14mm, including 5.5mm. That spans the small metric hardware found on cars, motorcycles, appliances and light machinery.

Each socket is 25mm long, a compact length that keeps the tool close to the work. A 12-point socket also fits 12-point fasteners, which some equipment uses for space saving.

The sockets are made of Chrome Vanadium Steel for strength and durability. Use them with any 1/4 inch drive ratchet, spinner handle or extension, and keep a 6-point version for fasteners that are especially tight or worn.
