Genius Tools Metric Deep Impact Sockets 1/4" Dr.
Genius Tools Metric Deep Impact Sockets with a 1/4 inch drive are made for small metric fasteners that sit on long bolts or studs. At 50mm long, they slide over protruding threads to reach the nut, which a shallow socket cannot do.
The series offers 13 sizes: 4, 4.5, 5, 5.5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14mm. The half sizes are useful for electronics, small engines and appliance work, where 4.5mm and 5.5mm fasteners turn up more often than you might expect.
Each socket has a six point opening that bears on the flat sides of the nut, giving a firm hold that helps protect small fasteners from rounding. As impact sockets, they are intended to work with 1/4 inch impact drivers, and they fit standard 1/4 inch ratchets too.
