Where a standard socket bottoms out on a protruding stud, a deep socket passes over the threads and grips the nut properly, which makes it the right choice for suspension parts, exhaust studs, brackets and threaded rod.
The series offers seventeen metric sizes from 6mm through 22mm without gaps, so every common metric nut in that range has a matching socket. All of them are 63mm long, which keeps reach predictable across the set.
