Genius Tools Metric Deep Hand Sockets (12-Point) with a 1/4 inch drive combine two useful features: a deep body for nuts on long studs and a 12-point opening for quick engagement in tight places.
Eleven sizes are available from 5mm through 14mm, including 5.5mm. These cover the small metric nuts used on vehicle trim and electrics, motorcycles, appliances and light equipment.
Each socket is 50mm long, deep enough to pass over threaded rod or a long bolt and reach nuts set inside a recess. The 12-point opening engages a hex at twelve positions, so the socket goes on with minimal rotation, and it also fits 12-point fasteners.
The sockets are made of Chrome Vanadium Steel, a strong and wear-resistant alloy commonly used in hand tools. Use them with a 1/4 inch drive ratchet, spinner or extension. Pair them with the standard-length 12-point metric sockets in the same sizes for a full shallow and deep range.
