Genius Tools Impact Drivers
When a screw is rusted, painted over or simply too tight, a normal screwdriver tends to strip the head. A hand impact driver is struck with a hammer, which forces the bit into the screw while giving it a short, powerful turn, often enough to break the fastener free.
Genius Tools Impact Drivers are offered in 3/8 inch drive and 1/2 inch drive, both 135mm long. The square drive takes a bit holder for screwdriver bits, as shown in the impact driver sets on the same catalog page, so you can work on slotted and Phillips screws.
Choose the 3/8 inch drive for small and mid-sized screws, and the 1/2 inch drive for larger, heavier fasteners. The catalog lists both in sets with 5/16 inch hex shank bit holders and screwdriver bits.
The page footer lists High Speed Tool Steel as the material. Hold the driver square to the screw and strike firmly for the best result.
