Genius Tools Impact Adapters (#5 Spline / 1" Dr.)
Heavy-duty shops often have both 1 inch square drive and #5 spline drive impact tools. Genius Tools Impact Adapters bridge the two systems, so you do not need a duplicate set of sockets for each type of wrench.
Two adapters are available. Item 841005 has a 1 inch female drive and a #5 spline male drive, allowing #5 spline sockets to be used on a 1 inch drive wrench; it is 100mm long. Item 540508 has a #5 spline female drive and a 1 inch male drive, so 1 inch square drive sockets can be fitted to a #5 spline wrench; it measures 80mm.
Both adapters are made of Chrome Molybdenum Steel, the alloy normally used for impact accessories because it absorbs repeated hammering.
Choose the adapter by the drive on your wrench and the drive on your socket. Keeping an adapter as part of the setup is an economical way to get more use out of the sockets you already own.
