Genius Tools Impact Adapters 3/8" Dr. (Cr-Mo)

Genius Tools Impact Adapters in 3/8 inch drive are made of Chrome Molybdenum Steel and connect a 3/8 inch drive tool to sockets of another size. They make it easy to use the same impact wrench with your small 1/4 inch drive sockets or your larger 1/2 inch drive sockets.

Three adapters are available. The 30mm adapter steps down from 3/8 inch female to 1/4 inch male and retains the socket with a steel ball. Two 35mm adapters step up to a 1/2 inch male drive, one with a steel ball and one with a pin hole.

The choice between steel ball and pin hole comes down to how you work. A steel ball detent holds the socket with spring pressure, so sockets snap on and off quickly. A pin hole is meant for a retaining pin and ring, which locks the socket in place and is preferred by many users for heavy impact use.

Keep the version that matches your sockets and retaining method, or carry all three to cover every combination.
