Genius Tools Flat Chisels

Genius Tools Flat Chisels are hand-struck cutting tools for metalwork, maintenance and repair. Use them to shear off rivet heads, split a nut that will not turn, cut through rusted bolts or chip away weld spatter and excess material.

The series covers nine sizes. Blade widths of 6mm, 10mm, 12mm, 14mm and 16mm come in lengths between 125mm and 160mm for controlled, detailed cuts. For heavier jobs the 19mm and 22mm chisels are each available at 200mm and 300mm long, so you can choose a shorter tool for tight spaces or a longer one that keeps your hand well clear of the hammer.

Each chisel is made of High Speed Tool Steel. The hard steel helps the edge hold up under impact and stay sharp longer between dressings, which means cleaner cuts and less time spent regrinding.

Choose a single width for a specific task, or build a range from narrow to wide to cover everything from fine trimming to heavy cutting.

  • Type: flat chisel
