Some fasteners need more reach than a deep socket can give, such as nuts on long threaded rods, U-bolts or studs in equipment frames. Genius Tools Extra-Deep Impact Sockets measure 127mm long, letting the socket travel over the protruding thread and seat squarely on the nut.
This compact series offers five sizes: 11mm and 15mm for metric fasteners, and 1/2 inch, 5/8 inch and 11/16 inch for SAE fasteners. Use the size selector to pick the one that matches your job.
Each socket has a 6 point opening that holds the nut on its flats, a 1/2 inch square drive for impact wrenches and accessories, and is made of Chrome Molybdenum steel. Keep one in the toolbox for the jobs where nothing shorter will reach.
At 127mm, these sockets are noticeably longer than the 78mm deep sockets in the 1/2 inch drive range, so they are the next step when a regular deep socket still cannot seat fully on the nut.
