Genius Tools Drilling Hammers
Genius Tools Drilling Hammers, sometimes called club or lump hammers, pack a heavy head onto a short handle. That combination delivers a strong blow with a controlled one-handed swing, ideal for striking chisels, punches and star drills.
This series is made of Chrome Vanadium Steel, as printed in the catalog, so the head stands up to hard, repeated striking on hardened tools.
Two weights are offered, both 270mm long. The 2-1/2 lbs head is easier to swing over long sessions and is well suited to cold chisel work, chipping and general demolition. The 4 lbs head carries more mass for breaking masonry, driving larger chisels and setting stakes or anchors.
Masons, builders, mechanics and maintenance crews reach for a drilling hammer whenever a carpentry hammer is too light and a sledge is too big or too long for the space.
