Aluminum Pipe Wrenches (Cr-Mo)
- Aluminum-bodied pipe wrench that is easier to carry and lift than an all-steel wrench of the same length.
- Fitted with a Chrome Molybdenum Steel hook jaw, so the gripping teeth stay strong where the work is hardest.
- Five lengths from 14 inch to 48 inch, aimed at the larger pipe sizes where weight matters most.
- Lighter weight reduces fatigue when you are working overhead, on ladders or carrying tools across a job site.
- Long handles provide the leverage needed to make up or break apart large threaded pipe joints.

Genius Tools Aluminum Pipe Wrenches (Cr-Mo)
The Genius Tools Aluminum Pipe Wrench pairs a lightweight aluminum body with a Chrome Molybdenum Steel hook jaw. You get the familiar biting grip of a pipe wrench on round pipe and fittings, without hauling the full weight of a steel handle around the job.
That saving is most noticeable on big wrenches, which is why this series starts at 14 inch and runs through 18, 24, 36 and 48 inch. The catalog lists the 24 inch aluminum wrench at about 2440 g and the 48 inch at about 8000 g, both lighter than the matching heavy duty steel models.
The Chrome Molybdenum Steel hook jaw is the working end: its teeth bite harder as you pull on the handle, holding pipe firmly while you turn it. The aluminum handle simply carries the load to the jaw with less weight in your hands.
Pipefitters, plumbers and maintenance technicians who work with large-diameter pipe, or who carry their tools up ladders and through plants, will appreciate a wrench that does the same job with less strain.
