Genius Tools Air Files 5mm
Genius Tools Air Files are the cutting files used in a reciprocating air file tool. Clamp the 5mm shank into the tool and it strokes the file back and forth for you, speeding up deburring, shaping and finishing work on metal and other materials.
Five shapes are offered, each 140mm long. A flat file dresses flat faces and edges. A round file opens and smooths holes and slots. A half round file has one flat and one curved face for both straight and concave surfaces. Square and triangle files reach into corners, keyways and angled notches.
The catalog AF-3406 6 piece air file set lists a 5mm file shank and includes one of each of these files, so they are a direct replacement for worn files in that tool. They are also offered together as the FL-0865 5 piece air file set.
Keeping spare files on hand avoids downtime when a file wears, and having every shape lets you pick the right profile for the feature you are finishing.
