Genius Tools #5 Spline Dr. SAE Impact Sockets

Genius Tools #5 Spline Drive SAE Impact Sockets are built for the large inch fasteners on heavy trucks, trailers, construction equipment and farm machinery. The #5 spline drive connects to heavy-duty impact wrenches with a splined anvil rather than a square drive.

Twenty-seven sizes run from 7/8 inch to 3 inch. Between 7/8 inch and 2 inch the sizes step by 1/16 inch, and the range then continues with 2-1/8, 2-3/16, 2-1/4, 2-3/8, 2-1/2, 2-5/8, 2-3/4 and 3 inch, covering the common truck wheel and suspension fasteners.

Socket lengths increase from 70mm to 105mm with size. The 6-point opening contacts the flats of the nut, distributing the turning force and reducing damage to fasteners that are tight or corroded.

Each socket is made of Chrome Molybdenum Steel, the alloy normally used for impact sockets because it absorbs heavy shock. A deep version of this series is available for long studs.
