Genius Tools #5 Spline Drive SAE Deep Impact Sockets are for heavy-duty work where the nut sits on a long stud or bolt, such as truck wheels, trailer axles, suspension components and construction machinery. They fit impact wrenches with a #5 spline drive.
The range runs from 7/8 inch to 3 inch in twenty-seven sizes, with 1/16 inch steps up to 2 inch and wider steps beyond, up to 2-3/4 and 3 inch. Because the sizes match the standard-length #5 SAE sockets, you can pick a shallow or deep socket for the same fastener.
Socket lengths increase from 80mm to 135mm. The 6-point opening contacts the flats of the hex, spreading torque evenly and protecting the fastener.
Each socket is made of Chrome Molybdenum Steel, the alloy normally used for impact sockets thanks to its resistance to shock and fatigue.
